Description: If you haven't read this series, I don't want to spoil it for you, and if you have, you've probably already read this one! Basically, it picks up right where The Hunger Games left off, with Katniss and Peeta thrown together once again in a quest to thwart the Capitol and stay alive in the process.
Thoughts: I didn't give a stellar review to The Hunger Games because for whatever reason I kind of got tired of it about 3/4 of the way through. That was absolutely not the case with this one. This book opened up so much more depth to the full plot; there was a lot more to think about than just Katniss' difficulty in managing her love triangle with Peeta and Gale. Towards the end, when I realized that there was a whole lot more going on than just Katniss trying to stay alive, the book was really entrancing--I had a hard time putting it down, and was really bummed when I tried to check out the last book in the series from the library and found out that there were 58 people ahead of me in line! This was a really great follow-up to The Hunger Games, and I can't wait to read the last one. (Never fear, I got a free trial at Audible.com and downloaded the last book. I'm about 1/4 through it now!).
Disclaimer: There is a fair amount of gore in this book, but that's it. Pretty clean.
